2021 East Bay December Weekend Tournament

What is World TeamTennis?
WTT is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men's and women's doubles followed by men's and women's singles, ending with two mixed doubles sets. Total games won from all sets determines the winner. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match.
What is a WTT team?
A team must have a minimum of two men and two women. We encourage you to form a team with 6 players minimum this allows for periods of rest, player substitutions and missing players. There is a no player maximum for local league play. The average team size is 6 to 10 players. 10 players maximum allowed at National Qualifiers (NQ) and National Championships.
Who can play?
Adults, 18 & over using current NTRP ratings or self-rated players
Seniors, 50 & over using current NTRP ratings or self-rated players
When do leagues start?
We are hosting the WTT Holidays Tournaments in one weekend-
December 19th 2021 we will host the 18+ Division 3.0 & the 50+ Seniors 3.5 at the Alameda HS
Sign-Up Deadline: Team Registration Starts now November
Players can register at any time (no deadline) before the tournament date, but must be registered & paid the fees before playing in a match or risk having all games won by the player deleted. Captains are responsible for ensuring all players have been registered & pay the fees before playing.

Determining Team Rating
The average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women players on your team determines the team rating.
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Tom- 4.5 Jill-3.5
  Bill- 4.0 Gail- 3.5
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Jim- 3.5 Joan- 3.0
The best two men and two women are: 4.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 16. 16 divided by 4 equals 4.0.
This team could register for the 4.0 division or a higher division. A team consists of a minimum of two men and two women. Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. Click here to determine your NTRP level.
Where do we play?
All matches will be played at the Alameda High School in the City of Alameda

Can I register as an individual/substitute/team?
All players must have been accepted by the team captain for membership before you can register on his/her team.
All Teams can have a non-playing captain or a non-playing coach at any NTRP level. No registration is required.

We do not have Substitute players
Why register via the Internet?
You are not an official league participant until you have registered online. When you register via the Internet site you will be e-mailed league information during the season and your WTT Member Benefits (WTT Point of Contact Newsletter, discounts on hotel, rental cars, 2 for 1 tickets, plus more).
What is the cost?
You do not have to pay to register on a team. You do have to pay before you can play on the team.
Player fees are $5 per player to play on a Division ( Fees include WTT Membership, Team Registration , Balls & Court Usage). All team captains are responsible to collect all fees before players can play.

Winning teams advancing to the WTT National Qualifier in Las Vegas or Irvine will have to pay a NQ Fee per team. Same fee will be charged for the WTT National Championship in Orlando or Palm Desert, Ca. (Locations of post season championships may be changed)
League winners qualify for a National Qualifier?
Winning teams advance to the WTT National Qualifiers. Your team is eligible to participate in a NQ for up to one year from the end date of your league. For every four (4) teams in any official World TeamTennis (WTT) local league division, one (1) team will be eligible to participate in a NQ. Click here for more details.
